Day 3 of my change project and despite the snow falling here in Utah the light is starting to shine through for me and I’m happy!.
Today’s post is based on one of my favorite quotes of all time. It’s powerful and real and it propels me forward.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and
As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
If you are paying attention even a little to these vlogs you will see that I feel inadequate. It’s true and I don’t like that feeling, at all.
BUT, when I really reflect and connect with my core I have to say that Ms. Williamson is correct. My deepest fear IS that I am powerful beyond measure. That I, Adam Miles, possess the capacity to SHINE brightly. And because I know that is true (psst…it’s true for you too!) my soul knows that I should be all about shining. Not hiding or playing small.
Plus: like many of you reading this I don’t only have the capacity to shine, I also have the OPPORTUNITY! I have been blessed with all kinds of opportunity just being born in the USA. By being born into the family in which I was raised. By being surrounded by loving, encouraging, awesome friends.
scares motivates me is the thought of “Who would I hurt or not help (same thing?) if I let timidity, self-doubt, pain, fear, etc. darken my light and hold me back?!”
I love the principle of the last line of the quote above that when we SHINE others will too. I picture my little candle of light going from unlit candle to unlit candle lighting as many as I can every day of my life. You can too!
Well, today’s one of those every days of our life, right? Time to SHINE ON!
Here’s today’s video. Love to hear your thoughts.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Watch the videos. Share them. Comment on them. Give me something. Tell me you hate them. Tell me you love them. What I want is feedback that will help me increase the impact I am making. And if you get inspired along the way then great. They say money talks so if you want to provide feedback financially then go here and “talk” to me. “Talk” to the thousands of youth I am trying to reach and help.
