A Day in the Life of a World Changer-Day 19

“It Never Occurred to Me That I Couldn’t Do It.”

A dear friend shared with me these words and I was blown away. Her response to a terrible tragedy in her life as a young woman was nothing short of remarkable. And as she matter of factly almost dismissed what she did as the result of simply not thinking she couldn’t, it hit me…hard!

How many times do I stop doing something, or not even start, because it DOES occur to me that I can’t do something?! Dang!

Starting right now, I am going to try harder to focus on just doing the things I want to do and not focusing on not being able to do them. Maybe I find out that I can’t do something but I would much rather find that out AFTER giving it my very best effort which includes applying my best mental state of positivity and reminding myself that, truly, anything is possible.

One of those things squarely in my plans right now is the Balls For Borno Project. This mission is to deliver at least 100 soccer balls to youth stranded in refugee (IDP) camps in Boko Haram territory in Northeast Nigeria. The ONLY thing missing is $15,000. The need is so great and so is my passion to make it happen that I simply have to believe I can find the funds until I do.

So, focus on what you CAN do to achieve the end result of what you set out to do. Dismiss negativity and naysayers. Let’s do something great, even remarkable! You with me?

Here is today’s VLOG:

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Watch the videos. Share them. Comment on them. Give me something. Tell me you hate them. Tell me you love them. What I want is feedback that will help me increase the impact I am making. And if you get inspired along the way then great. They say money talks so if you want to provide feedback financially then go here to make a donation and “talk” to me. “Talk” to the thousands of youth I am trying to reach and help.

Let’s go!
